  PFM Email

Everyone would love to be able to email any printout or report from PFM to others, especially those who run on Terminal Server and/or Citrix.  We have been working with this issue for the past couple of years and have the following options to offer our customers as of now.

All options:
» Compatible with Terminal Server and/or Citrix.
» Compatible with Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes (MAPI must be installed).  Other email clients have not been tested.

Built-in Capabilities to Printouts
1. When printing a print out you wish to email, select “Print to Screen.”
2. Within the Print Preview, select menu item "Email."
3. Select desired option.
4. An email is automatically generated with the attachment included.

To determine which option is best for you:
PDF (Portable Document File) is the most desirable choice. This format generates the best resolution. However, recipients of this attachment need Acrobat Reader installed on their workstation. Most organizations have made the Reader a standard on the PC’s. If not, there is a free download from Adobe’s web site.

WRI (Windows Write File) always opens in WordPad which is a program automatically installed with Windows.

RTF (Rich Text Format) opens in Microsoft Word if it is installed, if not then it will open in WordPad. The one drawback with Word is if the document is in landscape format, Word will chop off the portion which does not fit into the portrait screen.

Additional Notes:
* Must send or save message before going to another application.
* Only Available for 32 bit printouts: Crew Monthly Schedule, Passenger Sign In Sheet, Passenger Search, Commercial Fare Reject, Passenger Manifest, Tripsheet Alerts, Daily Base Activity.  Also available, to users who are able to run 32 bit, with the Tripsheet, Flitelog, Passenger Itinerary, Two Week Schedule, International Custom Forms and Extended Schedule.  All standard printouts and reports will have this feature by the end of 2002.
* You can only run 32 bit printouts if you have Pervasive 7 or 2000 installed.

Adobe Acrobat
Acrobat Distiller -- not Terminal Server compatible
