Can anyone track my aircraft?

 

PFM interface with RLM Software, developer of FlightView flight tracking software, creates a dispatching system that features real time flight tracking.  RLM tracks any flight plan that is filed with the FAA.  So flights arriving in or departing from the United States can be tracked.
From within PFM you can view a geographic map display which shows the plane's tail number and type of aircraft, departure/arrival identifiers, actual departure/arrival times and status of that aircraft.  

Or you can view multiple weather maps.

 

On the PFM Scheduling board the Flight Following information is displayed with a yellow background below the aircraft day's itinerary. 

By displaying either the map or the Schedule board on a large-screen monitor, the whole flight department can be kept up to date with not only the aircraft's projected schedule but also its actual position and ETA.

Also if someone wants to run FlightView's full blown windows application as well as the interface to PFM, RLM will discount the system to make it cost effective.

Can anyone track my aircraft?
If you are concerned about someone outside of your flight department viewing your tail numbers, there are a couple of options:
 Dummy Tail Numbers: Request from RLM dummy tail numbers for your aircraft.  In PFM you will enter this secure private tail number in a special flight following field.  The system will track your aircraft based on this tail number.  Someone would need to know your private dummy tail number in order to track your aircraft in RLM's Flight Following system.
Blocked Tail Numbers: If the dummy tail number doesn't seem enough for you, then you can request RLM to block your tail numbers.  What this will do...if someone outside of your flight department wants to see all of the flights out of an identifier, the person will only see "GA" in place of the tail number.  They would not be able to track by a tail number.
