Instructions for the Airport Data Export into Map Point 2001

Say you ask the question:  "We are flying into Cedar Rapids, Iowa. There are several airports there. How do I select the correct one?"

  • The PFM City/Airport Search Function integrates the PFM Airport Database with the powerful Microsoft MapPoint 2002 search engine.
  • Display any city, address, place, or lat/long in the United States, Canada, or Mexico and the airports nearest to it.
  • Label the selected airports to display any of the data types from the PFM Airport Directory, e.g., time from GMT, runway length and width, elevation, and FBO name and phone number.
  • Print map and directions from the airport to the destination.
  • Or you ask "We are flying into Coon Rapids, Iowa. What is the nearest airport and runway length and how about hotels and restaurants?"

  • Look up any city, place, or street address, and locate the nearest airport with the Find Function in the PFM City/Airport Search Function
  • Search for and displays all near-by points of interest from A to Z, such as, airports, aquariums, and ATMs to theaters, train stations, and zoos, including hotels and restaurants.
  • Print detailed map and directions, with the route highlighted, to be distributed to passengers and pilots.
